'A multi platform XML Editor. ' Editing XML data can be a lengthy and difficult process without the right tools, but if you use Exchanger XML Editor, the process becomes much easier. This program can automate many of the tasks you find yourself spending a lot of time on, such as Xpath/regular expression searches, schema conversion, tag prompting/validation,. Projects which use large XML files need to be aware that some editors struggle with large XML files. The sed editor (see below) is a special case, allowing for truly arbitrary sizes. Users who need to edit files directly on remote servers may need vt100-capable editors (emacs, vi, sed, etc). The most popular Mac alternative is XML Editor. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try XPontus XML Editor. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked 14 alternatives to WMHelp XMLPad and five of them are available for Mac so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement.

How to download or buy
Exchanger Xml Editor For Mac Os
From http://www.exchangerxml.com/editor/ : 'The Exchanger XML Editor is available for a free, 30-day evaluation period. The evaluation software is fully functional and technical support is available during the evaluation period.'
A Lite version of the editor is available for free from http://www.freexmleditor.com/
Additional notes
It has problems with newer releases of Java SDK/JRE. Support and the user community are almost completely dead. The light version is a nice-looking free editor with lots of features and – as Java moves on, leaving Exchanger behind – a growing number of quirks. Use at your own risk and backup often.
A patch for the debugger (see the relevant forum thread) is available at http://www.cladonia.com/patch/ (dated 05 Dec 2006).
